Volunteering Opportunities
We invite you to be a part of making the Northeast Ohio Science and Engineering Fair a success! Whether you’re a seasoned scientist or a passionate community member, there’s a way for you to contribute. Please note that the 2026 NEOSEF will be held at Lakeland Community College in Kirtland, OH.
Explore two ways to get involved:
VOLUNTEER AS A JUDGE
Interested in serving as a judge?
Judging is a meaningful and rewarding opportunity to support and inspire the next generation of scientists and innovators. As a judge, you’ll evaluate student projects, engage with students during their presentations, provide constructive feedback, and help identify top awardees.
To serve as a judge, you must:
- Hold at least a Bachelor’s degree in a science or related field, or
- Have a Ph.D./M.D. with relevant experience
Time commitment:
Judging typically requires one full day, which includes project evaluation, Q&A with students, and team deliberation.
All judges are invited to a Judges’ Reception at the end of the day to celebrate your contribution.
The deadline to sign up as a fair judge is February 14, 2026.
